The Warrior's offense exploded in game one of a doubleheader in Senatobia on April 6. The Warriors scored 16 runs in six innings to run rule Northwest Community College 16-6. Kyle Henson and Tim Anderson combined to be on base 9 times and driving in 4 of the 16 runs. East Central put up a total of 12 hits as 8 out of 9 hitters had at least one hit. Every Warrior hitter crossed home plate in the game and 8 out of the 9 hitters had at least one RBI. Jordan Mixon pitched 4 innings only giving up two runs to get the victory in the non-conference battle. The Warriors continued to put the bat on the ball in game two, earning 7 hits, but they could only push across one run in the game. Anderson led the offense again by going 2-3. Burns, for Northwest, held the Warriors to only one run by striking out 8 of the Warriors. Marc Cruso was the losing pitcher for EC, despite his solid pitching performance. Cruso pitched 4 innings giving up only 2 earned runs and striking out four Rangers. East Central will host Southwest CC in a doubleheader Wednesday, April 11, at Clark/Gay Baseball Complex.
