Students may be granted part-time
admission status at East Central Community College while
concurrently enrolled in high school if they meet the following
admission requirements:
1. Have completed a minimum of
fourteen (14) core high school units (Students who do not have
fourteen (14) core high school units but who have a composite score
of thirty (30) on the ACT Assessment may be considered for
enrollment),
2. Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative
GPA on a 4.0 scale for high school work completed, and
3. Have the unconditional
recommendation of their high school principal or guidance counselor.
Students are required to complete
an application for admissions, have their high school send an
official high school transcript, and have a letter from either their
high school principal or guidance counselor that indicates the
student has a B average and is unconditionally recommended to enroll
in courses at East Central Community College.
As soon as the student graduates
from high school, the student must have their high school send an
official high school transcript with the graduation date recorded
and the signature of the principal. East Central Community College
must receive this transcript before they can release the student's
EC transcript to another school.
