Wanna be an
East Central student??? Follow the steps below
and you can become an East Central Community
College Warrior! We also strongly
suggest you go through one of our online
orientations. |

APPLY FOR ADMISSION
You must apply for admission, declare your program of study, and send
all required documents to the Admissions Office.
You will automatically be
assigned an advisor once you declare your program of
study on the admissions application. Remember
if you change your program of study, you may be
assigned a different advisor. You need to take
the ACT test as soon as possible so we can
have these scores in before registration.
The sooner you get these to us, the sooner
we can determine your placement in English
and Math courses.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
The most
important part of this step is to apply for
financial aid AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Here are some reasons why we suggest getting
this done early.
-
This will
allow time for your aid to be applied to
your account sooner so you can charge
books before classes start. If
your aid is not in the system by the
time you get ready to purchase books,
then you may have to pay cash, check, credit card,
or make other arrangements with the
Business Office for the books.
-
This will
also help you avoid possible long lines in
student services during the first week
of school.
-
If your aid
is in the system, you
may be able to complete registration.
This means you can apply aid to dorm
charges, meal plans, tuition, and fees. You may do this by
clicking on 'Complete Registration' on
'My EC'. Once all your charges are
settled, you will be
moved from
pre-registered
status to
complete status.
See step 6 for more
details on completing registration.
-
In short - addressing the financial aid
process early will minimize the time
necessary to spend on campus at the
different offices, and will maximize
your ability to take care of Becoming a
Warrior online.
FAFSA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid)- Grants, work-study, loans, and other programs
require the application results.
You will need a PIN number before you will be able to complete this
form online, so you must apply for a PIN and have a valid email address. The FAFSA website is
www.fafsa.ed.gov.
East Central's college code is 002404.
