East Central Community College second baseman Charles Hill (2) turns a double play during the Diamond Warriors’ 12-2 season-opening win over Marion (Ala.) Military Wednesday afternoon on the Decatur campus. Hill, a freshman from Carthage, blasted a two-run homer and added a single in helping lead EC to the easy victory. EC won the nightcap by an 8-4 margin to complete the sweep.
