Competition resumes tonight for East Central Community College basketball squads who battle Southwest Mississippi Community College in MACJC South Division action scheduled on the Decatur campus.

The Lady Warriors (4-7, 0-2) and Lady Bears (6-3, 1-1) tangle at 6 p.m. followed by the Warriors (6-5, 1-1) and Bears (1-8, 0-2) at 8 p.m. in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building. 

It’s been a long break for East Central squads who last played on the hardwood on December 9, 2010, at Itawamba Community College in Fulton. The Lady Warriors held on for a 71-70 decision and the Warriors were outscored 75-70. 

EC’s home matchups scheduled Tuesday, Jan. 11 with Northwest were postponed due to the wintry weather conditions in Senatobia. The non-division contests have been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 22. Game times are 2 and 4 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood.
