East Central Community College’s golf team participated in the Jim Redgate Invitational held Sept. 27-28, 2010, at Briarwood Country Club in Meridian.
The Warrior linksters posted a two-day total of 986 in the 54-hole event, won by Wallace State Community College with an 875 score.
East Central was led by Luke Brown of Carthage, who had rounds of 85, 80 and 74 for a 239 total. Other team members and their respective scores include Cole Harris of Decatur, 245 (84-79-82); and Trent Travis, 245 (81-85-85), Crosby McDonald, 263 (88-94-81) and Daniel Moody, 263 (86-84-93), all of Carthage.
Chris Clark serves as ECCC golf coach.
Other teams participating and their results include Central Alabama Community College, 877; Meridian Community College, 879; Darton Community College, 887; Rend Lake Community College, 904; Faulkner State Community College, 912; University of Mobile, 919; and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 941.
The ECCC golf team continues fall competition at the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Invitational Oct. 31- Nov. 1 followed by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Invitational Nov. 8-9.
