More than 450 students are scheduled to receive diplomas Saturday, May 15, 2010, when East Central Community College holds its 81st Commencement beginning at 11 a.m. in the Neshoba County Coliseum in Philadelphia.

Included in the total are those who completed degree requirements following the 2009 summer and fall terms, according to Dr. Lavinia Sparkman, Vice President for Instruction.

Those participating in the program include graduating sophomores Austin Crouther of Union, who will give the invocation; Jordan Gunn of Forest, commencement speaker; and Hannah Lee of Philadelphia, benediction. Drew Harrison of Little Rock will present the musical selection “You Raise Me Up.”
