Eden McGee (seated center), a former softball standout at Neshoba Central High School, is shown signing a national letter of intent to continue her career at East Central Community College in Decatur. The talented third baseman received numerous honors throughout her career in slow-pitch and fast-pitch competition. She was named to the Class 5A All-State Team in slow-pitch in addition to receiving All Division 3-5A honors. She was also named a M.A.C. All-Star and received team most valuable and best defensive player awards. McGee’s honors in fast-pitch include her selection to the All-Division 3-5A Team. She also received the team’s best defensive player award. McGee batted .380 with two triples, four doubles and collected 15 RBIs for the Lady Rockets who won the Division 3-5A title en route to an 18-9 record. The ECCC Lady Diamond Warriors completed their most successful season in school history by winning the Region 23 Tournament and finishing fourth in the 2010 NJCAA Division II Softball Tournament en route to a 47-11 record.
