East Central Community College offers Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes in Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott, and Winston counties. Classes are available to the general public who are beyond the compulsory school age in literacy training, GED® Testing Preparation and English as a Second Language (ESL). Class locations include Carthage, Decatur, Forest, Louisville, and Philadelphia. ABE/ESL classes are offered free of charge and are available day and night at most locations. GED® Testing is offered at East Central Community College one Friday and Saturday per month. There is a fee for the five-part GED® test. The GED® diploma is recognized as the equivalent to a high school diploma. Students that earn their GED® diploma at through this program are eligible to receive their first college course free at ECCC. |
