Five teams fought for a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament May 24-27 at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind.
As a team, the Warriors shot 649 and fell short of advancing to the national championship.
Sophomore Zack Hammons of Raleigh High School finished ninth in the NJCAA Region 23 Championship after shooting an eight-over par 152 over the 36-hole tournament.
Other East Central golfers in the championship included sophomore Tristan Hernandez of Leake Academy, who finished with a 17-over par 161 and tied for 19th; Kade Mathner of Enterprise (Ala.) High School, who tied at 24th with a score of 168; Nathan Nance out of Newton County High School, who also finished tied for 24th with a score of 168; and Graham Winstead out of Neshoba Central High School, who finished 30th with a score of 186.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College won the championship in a playoff with Meridian Community College.
