ECCC’s Hendrix Signs Scholarship

Terrell Hendrix of Starkville, a two-year baseball standout at East Central Community College in Decatur, is shown signing a national letter of intent to continue his athletic career at the University of West Alabama. Hendrix, a 5-7, 135-pound centerfielder, batted .289, hit three home runs, one triple and two doubles and collected 20 RBIs for the 2008 Diamond Warriors, who finished 26-24 overall and 8-8 in the MACJC Central Division. He helped lead East Central to the 2007 state championship and a 31-23 record. Hendrix, a product of East Oktibbeha High School, is the son of Anderson and Mary Hornesburger. Neal Holliman serves as ECCC head baseball coach. His assistants are Michael Avalon and Roberto Martinez.
