ECCC’s Aleman Signs With Valley

Jesus Aleman of Belle Glade, Fla., a two-year starter on the mound for East Central Community College in Decatur, is shown signing a national letter of intent to continue his athletic career at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena. Aleman, a 6-foot, 205-pound right-hander, led the Warrior pitching staff in strikeouts this season with 57. The University of West Alabama transfer helped lead ECCC to the 2007 state championship and a 31-23 record. The Diamond Warriors finished the 2008 campaign with a 26-24 overall mark and were 8-8 in the MACJC Central Division. Neal Holliman serves as ECCC head baseball coach. His assistants are Michael Avalon and Roberto Martinez.
