ECCC Retirees, Instructors of the Year Honored

Retirees and Instructors of the Year for 2007-08 were honored at the end-of-the-year luncheon held May 9, 2008, at East Central Community College in Decatur. English instructor Tony Kinton (left) of Carthage is retiring after 20 years of service in education, and art instructor Bruce Guraedy (right) of Decatur is stepping down following a 33-year career on the ECCC campus, where he also served as Chairman of the Fine Arts Division. Christy Ferguson (second from left) of Philadelphia was recognized as Career-Technical Instructor of the Year and Tanya Boler of Union was named Academic Instructor of the Year. Ferguson teaches business technology courses and Boler is a member of the English faculty. Retirees were presented framed resolutions and instructors received plaques of appreciation commemorating their service to the College.
