The Warriors were back home for the first time in a while and wer ready to redeem themselves from the last match out which went into overtime. North division foe Itawamba came into town on a roll but it was the Warriors who came to play. In the 28th minute a nice pass from Dalton Smith found its way to Clint McGraw who placed a nice shot past the Indian keeper. It was Clint's 21st birthday and he was celebrating in style. The half would end with the score in favor of the Warriors 1-0. The second half was more excellent play by the Warriors but in the 68th Minute Indian wingman Ricky Hackler got free and slotted a ball across to Brayden Timmons who buried the tying goal. the next 22 minutes ensued with numerous chances for the Warriors but they werer denied time and again. Overtime ensued and in the last minute ofhte first period Timmons would slip through again for the game winner. This was a tough loss forht eWarriors as they had played really well yet still came up just short.
With the loss the Warriors are now 7-6-1 and 2-3-1 in division. Next up for the Warriors is another north division contest in Decatur with the Holmes Bulldogs on Friday, October 18th. Game time is 4:00.
