The Warriors played Southwest on Friday, 9/27 for the second time this season and the results were identical to the first time. Final score in the match was 2-1 for the Warriors. It would be Southwest who struck first in the match as Southwest's Chris Gomez followed up on a blocked shot by EC keeper Matt Taylor in the 11th minute to give the Bears a 1-0 lead. This lead was short lived as the Warriors struck right back in the 13th minute as forward Clint McGraw connected on a shot from a corner kick by Russ Thompson to even the score at 1-1. The game battled back and forth until the Warriors' Zack Killion won a ball in the defense and sent a pass up to McGraw who slotted the ball across to Will Thompson who netted the game winner in the 85th minute. This was Will's third game winner of the year. The Warriors improved t o5-4-1 for the year and will travel to play Meridian in a rematch on Tuesday, 10/1 at 4:00 in Meridian.
