If you are having problems logging on, try the following:

1.  Are you using Internet Explorer?
To use Internet Explorer as your browser, you must first log in to your current internet provider (AOL, Juno, Walmart Connect, Earthlink, NetZero).  Once you are online, minimize your window so you can see your desktop.  Open Internet Explorer.  Go to our home page.  www.eccc.edu .  Click on Students under Webmail.

2.  Are you sure you are entering your password without the leading zeros?

3.  Do you have a pop-up blocker on your computer?
If you do, you may have to disable or uninstall the pop-up blocker when you are using your student email account.  The pop-up blockers may cause a problem.

If you continue to have problems with your student email account, please send an email to eproblems@eccc.edu .  In your email, please include your full name, student id number,  date of birth, and your social security number. MY EC

"My EC" gives you access to your personal Student Information Center.  The Student Information Center allows you to view current schedule, grades, financial aid information, account information, degree plans, unofficial transcripts, and other very useful information.  If authorized by your advisor, you may also register for classes, add/drop classes, make payments, and apply your financial aid to your account.

The User ID is your student ID number.  The initial 6-digit pin is your date of birth without the slashes or dashes.   You MUST use a 2 digit year.   EX:  March 29, 1978 would be 032978.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you change your pin after your first login.  You may change your pin by clicking on "Change Pin" under "Student Information'.  PLEASE KEEP A RECORD OF YOUR NEW PIN IN A" SAFE PLACE.

New students MUST register in Admissions.  Once registered, you will be automatically assigned a Student ID and pin.  This pin will be your date of birth.   See the example above.  Your schedule should have your Student ID number showing on it.

For assistance with login or other problems, please email FULL name (first, middle, last), address, Student ID number, and last 4 digits of Social Security Number to portalsupport@eccc.edu .  If you have forgotten a password, a member of the Admissions staff (635-2111 ext 206) will have to verify your identity before resetting the password due to the confidential information accessible through "My EC".   East Central Community College CANNOT give out passwords over the phone.
