The East Central Community College golf team will have two players representing the program in the upcoming NJCAA Region Tournament after the Warriors placed 7th in the MACCC Conference Championship over the weekend. ECCC's Bryce Denley and River Maskew will compete as individuals in the event, slated for April 25 and 26 at the Kirkwood National golf course in Holly Springs, after the pair qualified based on their scoring average for the year.

The region tournament was originally set to be played at Castlewoods located in Brandon, but due to excessive rainfall in the area this season, the tournament has changed venues.

Denley led the Warriors in the recent MACCC Championship with a 171 after shooting an 89 in the opening round, backed by an 82 in the second, for a 26th place finish individually.  Gage Miller fired off a team-best 85 in the opening round followed by an 89 on the second for a 174, while Maskew shot a 179 (91, 88). Lee Hill and Davis Pool rounded out the Warriors lineup with a 187 (96, 91) and 191 (98, 93), respectively. The tournament, held at Wolf Hollow on the campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, was won by Meridian with a team score of 614.
