The East Central Community College Visual Art Department hosted its first annual Invitational High School Art Exhibition in 2019. The art was on exhibit February 5-26 in the Vickers Fine Arts Center.

The winners were announed at an Awards Reception from 6 to 7 p.m. on February 19 in the Vickers Fine Arts Center lobby.

The winners included:

1st Place: London Seale, Newton County High School, "Candy Shop"

2nd Place: Winona Tubby, Choctaw Central High School, "Ancestral Hands"

3rd Place: Memorie Willis, Choctaw Central High School, "Portrait of My Brother"

Honorable Mention: Lillie Chapman, Neshoba Central High School, "Summer's Sidewalk"

Honorable Mention: Katy Chen, Grace Christian School, "Profusion of Fall Color"

Honorable Mention: Belle Hollingsworth, Newton County Academy, "I Don't Give a Hoot"
