The East Central Community College Warriors traveled to Booneville on Monday night, Nov. 7, and took the No. 15 nationally ranked Tigers of Northeast Mississippi Community College to overtime, ultimately falling by just four points, 119-115. The loss dropped the Warriors to 2-1 on the year, while Northeast moved to 2-0.

The Lady Warriors of East Central Community College fell to 1-1 on the year on Monday night, Nov. 7, with a 68-61 loss to Northeast Mississippi Community College.

East Central Community College is now accepting applications for the Slagle In-District Tuition Scholarship, also known as the EC Promise Scholarship Program. This “gap filler” scholarship awards several thousand dollars annually to ECCC students who do not receive and/or qualify for sources of funding sufficient to cover the cost of tuition.

The WIOA-supported Out-of-School Youth Program is hosting several information sessions in November on the East Central Community College campus in Decatur.

The Out-of-School Youth Program is designed to provide those who meet eligibility requirements with occupational skills training, paid internships, job search assistance, resume preparation, and interview skills.

All services offered through this program are free to participants. WIOA is the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

The East Central Community College Warriors moved to 2-0 on the year with a dominating 98-72 victory over William Carey JV on Thursday, Nov. 3. The Warriors had an offensive explosion in the second half as the team poured in 62 points in the final 20 minutes of play.

The Warriors of East Central Community College had Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium rocking in the season opener Tuesday, Nov. 1, as ECCC defeated the Wallace Community College Selma Patriots, 105-83. The Warriors netted 18 three-pointers on the way to victory in head coach Dylan Shields' inaugural game in the new position.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors moved to 1-0 on the year on Tuesday night, Nov. 1, with a 79-40 victory over Wallace Community College Selma. The win marks the first victory for new head coach Betsy Harris.
