The Warriors of East Central Community College fell in the season opener to No. 6 Jones College, 7-0. 

The Bobcats found the net early in the first half and put in two more before the break.

Over the past six academic terms, East Central Community College in Decatur will have distributed more than $6 million in federal COVID-19 pandemic relief funds directly to its students.

The funding comes from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, or HEERF, stimulus packages passed by Congress as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide some relief from the economic fallout related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tyler White, a native of Brandon and an MRA graduate, returns to Decatur in 2021 to help lead both the ECCC men's and women's soccer programs as an assistant coach. White was an NJCAA All-Region 23 and MACCC All-Star selection for the Warriors as he helped lead the men's program to a MACCC North Division title as a player in 2017.

East Central Community College in Decatur has updated its opening of school campus plan for the Fall 2021 Semester which is set to begin Monday, Aug. 16.

There is still time to register for the 2021 fall semester at East Central Community College in Decatur, and eight different terms from which to choose.

On-Campus Courses

The last day to register for Fall 2021 Full-Term On-Campus Day and Evening courses is Tuesday, Aug. 17. Classes begin on Monday, Aug. 16, and end Thursday, Dec. 9.

The last day to register for Fall 2021 Intensive Term I On-Campus courses is Tuesday, Aug. 17. Classes begin on Monday, Aug. 16, and end Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Following a two-year collaborative process involving the entire campus community, East Central Community College in Decatur has chosen a financial literacy initiative known as Dollars and Sense as its Quality Enhancement Plan topic as it prepares for 10-Year Reaffirmation of Accreditation.
