East Central Community College's Chris Lawrance (York, Australia) has been named as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American among community college players from across the country. The prestigious honor is only given to student-athletes who finish in the top 10 of the final ITA singles rankings.

The 2021 football season is just 12 weeks away and the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference is slated for a full nine-game season. The East Central Warriors, who had to cut the 2020 season short due to COVID-19, finished the year 2-3 overall and closed out the year with a 13-10 overtime victory over Co-Lin in Wesson. 

June 4, 2021

New and transfer students planning to attend East Central Community College in fall 2021 can now take advantage of our Weekday Orientation sessions on the Decatur campus.

Weekday Orientation is available beginning June 7 Mondays through Thursdays from either 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The college will be closed on Monday, July 5, for the Independence Day holiday. Fall 2021 classes begin on Monday, Aug. 16.

The East Central Community College men's tennis team closed out the 2021 season with a No. 19 national ranking in the final Oracle ITA poll after a stellar performance at the NJCAA DI Tennis Championship in Plano, Texas. The Warriors finished the tournament tied as the 18th overall team, the third-best finish upon MACCC schools.

For the second straight year, the Lady Warrior tennis team of East Central Community College ranked No. 21 in the final Oracle ITA tennis polls. This ranking the team earned the first-ever bid to the NJCAA DI Tennis Championship in Mesa, Ariz. The Lady Warriors posted a 21st place finish, fourth-best among MACCC schools in attendance.

Get2College is partnering with East Central Community College in Decatur to help get students enrolled in college.

Organizers will be offering free hands-on FAFSA and Mississippi Financial Aid completion appointments to students in a drive-thru event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 7, at the Founders Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

East Central Community College softball player Zharia Richardson, a freshman from Gulfport, earned First Team All-Conference honors while Katelynn Gipson, a freshman from Decatur, picked up an honorable mention nod for their solid play through the year in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference.
