The East Central Community College men's and women's tennis teams travel to Jones College in Ellisville this Thursday, April 15, for the NJCAA Region XXIII tournament. The tournament will be a team-based event.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors picked up two big MACCC wins to bookend the weekend with an 8-0 win over Southwest on Friday, April 9, and a 3-1 victory over Northwest on Monday, April 12. The wins moved the Lady Warriors to 3-0-1 on the year and put ECCC in a strong position in the early goings of the 2021 season.

The East Central Community College women's basketball coaching staff is searching for the next group of Lady Warriors. Open tryouts are slated for Wednesday, April 21, at 4 p.m. in Bracken-Wood Gymnasium on the college's campus in Decatur. High school seniors who competed this season are not required to have a physical, but all other participants must bring a copy of a physical in order to try out. There is a $20 tryout fee and all participants are asked to wear workout/basketball attire and shoes.

The Warriors of East Central Community College lost a tough one on Tuesday night, April 6, to the Pearl River Community College Wildcats, 2-1. The loss drops ECCC to 1-1 on the year after they defeated Meridian last week 2-0.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors' 2021 home opener April 6 ended in a 1-1 draw with the Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats. 

The tie moves the Lady Warriors to 1-0-1 on the young season.

East Central Community College will hold two on-campus Commencement ceremonies Friday, May 7.

Both ceremonies will be held in Huff Auditorium on the main campus in Decatur.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, no guests will be allowed for either Commencement ceremony. Only those students who have been approved as candidates to graduate and who signed up in advance to participate in Commencement and faculty and staff who are assisting with the ceremonies will be allowed into Huff Auditorium on May 7.

April 7, 2021

It was not East Central's day on Tuesday night, April 6, as the No. 9 Warriors dropped a pair of games to the Hinds Eagles at the Clark/Gay Baseball Complex. The Eagles took game one, 13-2, before completing the sweep with a 9-1 win in the nightcap. The losses move the Warriors to 19-11 overall and to 14-6 in MACCC play.
