The East Central Lady Warriors have postponed the next three contests including tonight's matchup with Meridian due to COVID-19 protocol.

The 2021 schedule has built-in make-up dates, and the chosen date will be announced in the future. At this time, the men's team is still scheduled to play all of the contests. The first Wednesday of February is exciting for all college football programs and 2021 was no different as the Warriors of East Central Community College signed 25 players to the 2021 football roster.

After a two-year absence due to weather and COVID-19, the East Central Community College Warrior Golf Classic is back and raising money for student scholarships. Registration is already underway for the 18th Annual Warrior Golf Classic scheduled for Friday, May 14, on the Azaleas Course of the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Choctaw.

The Lady Warriors of East Central Community College (0-2) showed grit and hustle on Monday night, Feb. 1, but the No. 8 Jones College Lady Bobcats (3-0) were too much as they grabbed a 74-46 victory. ECCC never relented on their effort, but the shots were just not falling for Lady Warriors in the home opener.

It was tied up at the break in Ellisville on Monday night, Feb. 1, but the Jones College Bobcats squeezed out a 75-71 home victory over the East Central Warriors in the third contest of the year. The loss moves the Warriors to 0-3 on the season and improves the Bobcats 1-2.

East Central Community College in Decatur will hold tryouts for the 2021-22 Cheerleading Squad from 8 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, April 10, in the South Campus Gymnasium.

There is a $25 fee for all participants.

The Lady Warrior tennis team came as close as they could to snagging a win against the Lady Tigers of Marion Military Institute on Saturday, Jan. 30, but fell just short, 5-4. The loss moves ECCC to 1-1 on the young season and moves the Tigers to 1-2.

January 29, 2021

The Tigers of Marion Military Institute (2-1) and the East Central Warriors (1-1) squared off in tennis Friday, Jan. 29, in an early-season matchup. East Central battled hard but ultimately fell to MMI, 6-3.
