ECCC Announces Pilot of Tiered-Tuition Dual Credit Program for Classes Taught at the Local High School

Responding to a need in its five-county district, East Central Community College in Decatur has announced the creation of a one-year pilot program of a tiered-tuition rate for its Dual Credit Program for the upcoming high school academic year.

The ECCC Board of Trustees approved the pilot program at its June meeting on campus.

Conversational Spanish and Manufacturing Skills Basic Offered by ECCC Workforce Development Center

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer courses in Conversational Spanish and Manufacturing Skills Basic Certification at the Carthage Career Advancement Center beginning in August.

ECCC Workforce Development Center Offers Classes at Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer numerous classes during the month of August at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center located on Valley View Drive.

Basic Automotive Repair begins Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, and will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. for eight consecutive Mondays. Kirt Doss will serve as instructor. The cost is $150 per person.

ECCC to Hold Final Warrior Wednesday New Student Orientation Session August 9

East Central Community College in Decatur will hold its final Orientation Session before fall 2017 classes start on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017. Registering for fall 2017 classes is among the activities new and transfer students will participate in at the final Warrior Wednesday.

Fall 2017 on-campus classes begin on Monday, Aug. 14.

ECCC Sets Ribbon Cutting for New Women’s Residence Hall

East Central Community College will dedicate its new Women’s Residence Hall with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 on the campus in Decatur.

ECCC Plans Thursday Homecoming Celebration in Fall 2017

East Central Community College will start a new tradition in fall 2017 as its annual Homecoming Celebration will move from Saturday to Thursday for the first time in many years.

Homecoming 2017 at ECCC in Decatur is set for Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017. The day will conclude with the annual Homecoming football game with the ECCC Warriors hosting the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers at 6:30 p.m. in Bailey Stadium.

ECCC Named a Great College to Work For Second Straight Year

For the second straight year East Central Community College in Decatur was named one of the best colleges in the nation to work for in an annual survey of more than 45,000 college and university employees by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
