East Central Community College in Decatur will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 13, to mark the beginning of construction on the new Thomas W. Carson Band Hall on campus.

The Workforce Development Center at East Central Community College in Decatur is offering a two-day Forklift Operation course through the ReSkillMS program.
Registration is currently open and financial aid is available to qualified applicants through the ReSkillMS program. The class will meet from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the old US Motors facility, located at 1224 North Pecan Avenue in Philadelphia. Taylor Dickerson will serve as instructor.

East Central Community College has announced plans for the distribution of tickets to the Warriors three home football games this fall in Bailey Stadium on the campus in Decatur, as well as tickets to the three away contests.
A limited number of fans will be allowed to attend each game as required by Executive Order 1519 signed Aug. 20 by Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves. The order limits attendance to 25 percent of stadium capacity, in addition to other restrictions to help control the spread of COVID-19.

Registration continues for Fall 2020 Intensive Term II on-campus, online, and four-week online courses at East Central Community College in Decatur.
The last day to register for on-campus courses in the Fall 2020 Intensive Term II is Thursday, Oct. 8. Classes begin on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Classes offered include Introduction to Business, Microsoft Word I, College Algebra, Computer Aided Design II, English Composition II, Calculus IV, and Music Appreciation.
