The 2018 baseball season came to an end for East Central Community College as the Warriors came up on the short end of a best-of-three National Junior College Athletic Association Region 23 playoff series against Itawamba Community College May 10-11 at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

East Central Community College in Decatur recently announced members of the Centralettes dance line and Color Guard for the 2018-19 term. Both groups perform with the Wall O’ Sound Marching Band and at basketball games and other special events throughout the year.

Several East Central Community College student-athletes received honors during the college’s Spring 2018 Sports Awards Banquet held recently in Mabry Cafeteria on the campus in Decatur.

Students named to the 2018 spring semester honor roll, which includes those selected to the President’s List, Dean’s List and Honorable Mention List, have been announced at East Central Community College.

The No. 10 East Central Community College Lady Warrior softball team finished up the 2018 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Tournament with a 1-2 record, good enough to advance to the upcoming Region 23 Tournament.

The MACJC State Tournament was played May 4-7 on the campus of Itawamba Community College in Fulton.
