The East Central Community College women’s soccer team got goals from three different players en route to a 3-1 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Friday, Oct. 20, in Summit.

East Central completed its season with a 6-4-2 overall record and 3-4-1 in the MACJC North Division. Southwest completed its season 4-10 overall and 1-7 in the MACJC South Division.

It was the fourth straight winning season for the East Central women, and the first time the Lady Warriors missed the playoffs since 2013.

Scoring for East Central in the win were sophomore midfielder Ashley Langham out of Florence High School, freshman midfielder Carrington Payne of Richland, and sophomore forward Cailee Helen McClain, who prepped at Starkville High School. Sophomore midfielder Aubree Patterson, also out of Richland, assisted on all three goals.
