The East Central Community College basketball teams concluded their 2017-18 seasons Thursday, Feb. 22, in action at Hinds Community College in Utica. The Lady Warriors fell 71-53 in the opening game to the Hinds Lady Bulldogs, while the Warriors dropped an 87-79 decision to the Bulldogs in the nightcap.

The Lady Warriors finished the season with a 12-10 overall record and 5-9 in MACJC South Division play. The Hinds Lady Bulldogs are 16-7 and 7-7. The East Central Warriors finished 10-13 overall and 4-10 in the league. The Hinds Bulldogs are 9-12 and 6-8.

In the women’s action, East Central was led by the 18 points and 10 rebounds of sophomore guard Autumn Taylor of Newton, including 6 of 9 from beyond the three-point line. She was the only Lady Warrior in double figures.

The East Central men were led by three players in double figures. Sophomore guard Jaquan Dotson out of Neshoba Central scored 23 points and pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds. Freshman guard Roti Ware out of Morton added 19 points and sophomore forward Cameron Diggs (Mobile, Ala., Blount) had 16 points and 10 boards.
