IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Fall 2017 Semester WIOA ITA applications will be taken at the Meridian, Carthage, or Forest Win Job Centers from June 19th - July 5th, 2017 .  The Louisville Win Job Center application process to be announced.  This grant is for individuals that will enroll in one of the eligible Workforce Development short-term programs or has successfully completed one semester in an eligible Career Technical Program.  If you feel you qualify for this funding and have questions about this grant please contact Deana Cumberland 601-635-6404.

To receive an ITA grant-adult training services, an individual must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • in compliance with the registration provisions of the Military Selective Service Act.

Individuals, who have been terminated, laid off or who have received notice of separation and individuals who are unemployed due to economic conditions may qualify for training as dislocated workers.  Please contact your nearest WIN Job Center for specific eligibility criteria.  The WIN in Mississippi site, www.wininmississippi.org, identifies training programs eligible to receive ITA funds. The eligible training provider’s list is designed to help customers make informed training choices by describing the programs/institutions in detail.  Please be reminded that WIA financial assistance and service policies for job seekers vary from area to area.
