IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

The 2018 Summer Term WIOA ITA applications will be taken at the Meridian, Carthage, or Forest Win Job Centers from April 23- May 7th.   The 2018 Fall Term WIOA ITA applications will be taken at the Meridian, Carthage, or Forest Win Job Centers from June 20 - July 5.  The Louisville Win Job Center application process to be announced.  This grant is for individuals that will enroll in one of the eligible Workforce Development short-term programs or has successfully completed one semester in an eligible Career Technical Program.  If you feel you qualify for this funding and have questions about this grant please contact Deana Cumberland 601-635-6404.

Eligibility to apply for WIOA ITA funding, an individual must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • a resident of Mississippi
  • in compliance with the registration provisions of the Military Selective Service Act

The Mississippi Eligible Training Providers Listidentifies East Central Community College’s Workforce Development short-term classes and Career Technical Programs eligible to receive ITA funding. The eligible training provider’s list is designed to help customers make informed training choices by describing the institutions/programs in detail.  Please be reminded that WIOA financial assistance and service policies for job seekers and students vary from area to area. Individuals who are interested in applying for WIOA training funds must contact a Mississippi WIN Job Center

Individuals, who have been terminated, laid off or who have received notice of separation and individuals who are unemployed due to economic conditions may qualify for training as dislocated workers.  Please contact your nearest WIN Job Center for specific eligibility criteria.
