The East Central Community College Encore Players will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic tale of  “Cinderella” March 27-31, 2020.

Evening performances begin at 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28. Matinees will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, and 9 a.m. and noon Monday and Tuesday, March 30 and 31. All performances will be held in the Vickers Fine Arts Center Auditorium on the Decatur campus.

Tickets are $10 each for the evening performances and the Sunday matinee. Matinees on March 30-31 are $5. Tickets may be purchased by calling 601-635-2111. Reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Director Jessica Price said of the show, “With a wicked stepmother and two jealous stepsisters who keep her enslaved and in rags, Cinderella stands no chance of attending the royal ball. When her fairy godmother appears and magically transforms her reality into a dream come true, Cinderella enchants the handsome Prince Charming at the ball, but must face the wrath of her enraged stepmother and sisters when the spell wears off at midnight.”

Madyson Warren of Decatur will play the lead role of Cinderella. Additional cast members include Tykeia Hathorn (Fairy Godmother) of Louisville, Katie Evans (Stepmother) of Conehatta, Lauren Gilmer (Grace) of Little Rock, Beth Fortner (Joy) of Port Gibson, Kolton Peyson (Christopher) of Conway, Ark., Jacob Crout (Lionel) of Lake, Amanda Tero (Queen Constantina) of Decatur, Wesley Akins (King Maximillian) of Philadelphia, Josh Mitchell (Cat/Charles) of Decatur, Molly Cliburn (Dove) of Union, Malina Mangrum (Mouse) of Philadelphia, Lexi Hannah (Mouse) of Pulaski, Camilla Addy (Mouse) of Decatur, and Martez Nickols of Forest, John Vance of Florence, Jamerius Clemons of Philadelphia, and Garrett Nelson of Little Rock, who all play the roles of the villagers and ball guests.
