The work study program offered at East Central is designed to give an opportunity to students for part-time employment while attending college. In addition to earning a paycheck, work study programs offer students:
- A flexible work schedule around your classes
- Convenient work locations
- A chance to increase your work experience, and
- An opportunity to develop your interpersonal skills
Eligibility for work study is determined by financial need established on the FAFSA, other aid awarded, and availability of funds. Students are generally prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who were previously awarded work study and requested by faculty and staff will also be given priority. To be considered for work study, a student must complete the FAFSA and the ECCC work study application. The student application process must be complete, including verification, before an award is made. Completing an application does not guarantee job placement.
