Students must follow either the program of study in the catalog of the institution of higher learning to which they plan to transfer or the guidelines of the Articulation Agreement, http://www.mississippi.edu/oasa/articulation_agreement.asp to ensure transfer of credits. Students who earn the associate of arts degree or associate of science degree may transfer *35 core hours to any Mississippi institution of higher learning. A student who is working toward a bachelor’s degree but has not yet decided on a degree program is advised to follow the academic core requirements during the freshman year. All students should choose a major field of study before beginning the sophomore year. Failure to do so may result in the student’s taking courses that do not apply toward the chosen bachelor’s degree program.
