ECCC has set another enrollment record, enrolling 3,324 students for the Fall 2026 semester, an increase of 308 students from Fall 2025 and the highest student headcount in college history.
The graduating class included 18 students completing the Cosmetology program, 19 completing the Practical Nursing program, and 16 earning degrees from the Associate Degree Nursing program.
“I am honored to continue serving East Central Community College in this new role,” Haab said. “I look forward to working closely with our faculty, staff, and leadership team to support teaching and learning, strengthen student success, and continue the important work being done across the college.”
East Central Community College recognized 64 graduates during its 2026 High School Equivalency Graduation ceremony held Thursday, June 18, in Huff Auditorium on the Decatur campus.
The ceremony celebrated students who completed the requirements to earn their High School Equivalency diploma through ECCC’s Adult Education program. The achievement marks an important step for graduates as they continue pursuing educational, career, and personal goals.
East Central Community College is helping educators discover practical and purposeful ways to use artificial intelligence in the classroom through a four-week, fully online professional learning experience titled From Practice to Possibility: AI as a Teaching Partner, scheduled July 7-30.
