East Central Community College proudly awarded High School Equivalency (HSE) diplomas to 63 graduates during a commencement ceremony held Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Huff Auditorium on the Decatur campus.

East Central Community College (ECCC) and Mississippi State University (MSU) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement that provides a seamless pathway for students completing an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts Technology at ECCC to continue their education and earn a Bachelor of Science in Culinology at MSU.

East Central Community College is pleased to announce that Tyler Yates has been named the institution’s next Vice President for Business Operations. Yates will assume the role on July 1, 2025, following the retirement of longtime vice president Mickey Vance, who has served the college for over three decades.

East Central Community College is excited to announce an upcoming forum entitled “Watson Goes to Print: The Journey of Publishing a Children's Book.” This special event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Monday, March 17, at 3 p.m. in Huff Auditorium on the ECCC campus in Decatur, Mississippi.
