East Central Community College proudly crowned Allison Knight, a graduate of Lawrence County High School, as the 2025 Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies of the Warriors’ Homecoming football game against Hinds on Thursday, September 25, in Bailey Stadium.

East Central Community College celebrated the achievements and legacy of its alumni during Homecoming festivities on Thursday, Sept. 25, on the Decatur campus. The highlight of the day was the Alumni Reception and Recognition Ceremony in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium, where four outstanding individuals and several reunion groups were honored. The event was free and open to the public.

East Central Community College recognized the achievements of student scholarship recipients during the 2025 Scholarship Recognition Reception, held September 24 in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.

The annual event, sponsored by the East Central Community College Foundation, brought together students, donors, faculty, staff, and community members to celebrate the impact of scholarships on student success.

East Central Community College inducted 69 students into the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society during a ceremony held Monday, September 22, 2025, in Huff Auditorium.

East Central Community College will host Come See EC! Preview Day on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, giving high school seniors and prospective students an opportunity to experience campus life and explore academic programs.

East Central Community College (ECCC) has reached a historic milestone, enrolling a record 3,016 students for the Fall 2025 semester. This marks only the second time in the college’s history that enrollment has surpassed 3,000 students — the first since 2011 — and it represents the highest student headcount ever recorded at ECCC.

ECCC’s student numbers are up 8% from Fall 2024 to Fall 2025, continuing a trend of consistent growth with seven consecutive semesters of enrollment increases.

East Central Community College’s Director of Career and Technical Education, Cody Spence, has been honored with the Instant Impact Award by AccelerateMS in recognition of his outstanding contributions to strengthening Mississippi’s workforce.

Spence was one of only four individuals and organizations statewide to be recognized at the 2025 MS Horizons Workforce Strategy Symposium in Jackson, an event that drew nearly 500 participants from business, industry, government, and education.

East Central Community College will hold its annual "Meet the Warriors" preseason pep rally at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13. Well-known DJ Aaron Tullos will be playing music throughout the evening and will emcee the introduction of the 2025-26 Warrior student-athletes.

The public is invited to this family-friendly pep rally in Huff Auditorium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.
