The East Central Community College Foundation has officially opened scholarship applications for the 2026-2027 academic year. Students planning to attend or continue their education at East Central are encouraged to apply now for financial assistance to help reach their educational goals.

East Central Community College (ECCC) in Decatur is excited to announce its annual fully online Holiday Term, offering students from any institution the opportunity to earn college credit from the comfort of their own home in just three weeks during their Christmas Holiday Break.

In accordance with Mississippi House Bill No. 1071 from the 2010 legislative session, East Central Community College in Decatur has released its academic year 2023-2024 Mississippi Community College Performance Profile, or Report Card. The bill created an Education Achievement Council which was established to set education achievement goals for institutions of higher learning and community colleges in the state and to assist in monitoring progress towards those goals through the preparation of annual institutional and state report cards.

East Central Community College will host two fun-filled community events on Monday, October 27, inviting families, students, and local residents to campus for an evening of Halloween excitement.

East Central Community College proudly crowned Allison Knight, a graduate of Lawrence County High School, as the 2025 Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies of the Warriors’ Homecoming football game against Hinds on Thursday, September 25, in Bailey Stadium.

East Central Community College celebrated the achievements and legacy of its alumni during Homecoming festivities on Thursday, Sept. 25, on the Decatur campus. The highlight of the day was the Alumni Reception and Recognition Ceremony in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium, where four outstanding individuals and several reunion groups were honored. The event was free and open to the public.

East Central Community College recognized the achievements of student scholarship recipients during the 2025 Scholarship Recognition Reception, held September 24 in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.

The annual event, sponsored by the East Central Community College Foundation, brought together students, donors, faculty, staff, and community members to celebrate the impact of scholarships on student success.

East Central Community College inducted 69 students into the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society during a ceremony held Monday, September 22, 2025, in Huff Auditorium.

East Central Community College will host Come See EC! Preview Day on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, giving high school seniors and prospective students an opportunity to experience campus life and explore academic programs.
