The East Central Community Lady Warrior tennis team went 1-1 over a two-day stretch late in the week as ECCC fell to Itawamba on Thursday, February 24, before taking down Belhaven in Jackson on Friday, February 25.

ECCC suffered a challenging 4-5 loss to the Lady Indians after dropping two doubles matches and splitting singles play.

"Thursday's match was as close as it gets," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "We got contributions from everyone, but just came up short."

The Lady Warriors were quick to bounce back with a commanding 8-1 victory over Belhaven.

"This was a terrific and much need win," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "Our ladies came out strong in doubles and it from there. We showed resilience after a conference loss on Thursday."
