The East Central Community College Alumni Association will host its 16th Annual Warrior Golf Classic Thursday, May 11, at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Choctaw.

All proceeds from the tournament again will support the scholarship program at the college. Last year’s tournament raised more than $10,100 for the scholarship program.

The four-person scramble will be played on The Azaleas course at Dancing Rabbit located in the Pearl River Resort.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Club House, and the tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. The Warrior Golf Classic will conclude with a buffet lunch and awards ceremony around 2:30 p.m.

“We had a record number of teams for last year’s Warrior Golf Classic, and we hope to grow the tournament even more this year,” said David LeBlanc, ECCC’s director of alumni relations and the foundation. “It’s a great tournament on a fantastic golf course with many amenities, and all proceeds provide financial assistance to East Central students.”

Gold Corporate Sponsorships are available for $750 and include entry fees for a four-person team and hole sponsorship. Silver Corporate Sponsorships are $450 and include entry fees for a two-person team and hole sponsorship. Silver Corporate Sponsor teams will be grouped with other two-person Silver Corporate Sponsor teams to make a four-person team. Individual player registration is $150. Individual entrants will be grouped with other individuals to form a four-person team.

All registered players will receive range balls before play, greens fees, cart, and lunch. Mulligans and grenades also are available for purchase.

Food and beverage, hole, and T-shirt sponsorships are available for non-playing sponsors who wish to support East Central Community College and its scholarship program.

Sponsors and players may register online at www.eccc.edu/estore. The deadline to register is Monday, May 8.
