East Central Community College in Decatur is excited to welcome Jonathan Webster to campus as the 22nd head coach of the Warrior football program. Webster replaces Ken Karcher who served in the role for 10 seasons before announcing his retirement in October.

East Central Community College in Decatur has announced a new partnership with Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a Raytheon Technologies business, located in Forest, in a joint effort to fill touch-labor manufacturing and provide members of the community with technical training.

Two new members of the East Central Community College Board of Trustees were recently announced.

The East Central Community College Warriors traveled to Booneville on Monday night, Nov. 7, and took the No. 15 nationally ranked Tigers of Northeast Mississippi Community College to overtime, ultimately falling by just four points, 119-115. The loss dropped the Warriors to 2-1 on the year, while Northeast moved to 2-0.

The Lady Warriors of East Central Community College fell to 1-1 on the year on Monday night, Nov. 7, with a 68-61 loss to Northeast Mississippi Community College.

East Central Community College is now accepting applications for the Slagle In-District Tuition Scholarship, also known as the EC Promise Scholarship Program. This “gap filler” scholarship awards several thousand dollars annually to ECCC students who do not receive and/or qualify for sources of funding sufficient to cover the cost of tuition.

New and returning East Central Community College students can now apply online for scholarships offered through the ECCC Foundation.

The deadline to apply is Noon on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023.
