The East Central Community College softball program is hosting a Fall Camp and League for fast-pitch softball players who will be in grades 7-12 during the 2018-19 school year.

The camp will be Sunday, Oct. 21, from 2-5 p.m. Games will be held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from Oct. 22-Nov. 12.

All activity will take place at the ECCC Softball Park on the Decatur campus.

The cost is $130 per person and includes the camp and games.

East Central Community College will host its first Preview Day for dual credit high school students beginning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2, on the campus in Decatur.

The Preview Day is designed to introduce the high school students to ECCC and college life.

East Central Community College will offer a Warrior Wednesday Orientation session on Wednesday, Aug. 8, on the Decatur campus. It is the final orientation session before fall 2018 classes begin on Monday, Aug. 13.

Warrior Wednesday will be from 9 a.m. to Noon beginning in the Vickers Fine Arts Center. New students can begin signing in for the session at 8:30 a.m.

East Central Community College women’s basketball coach LaTaryl Williams is holding the EC Elite19 basketball camp for upcoming high school seniors Saturday, Aug. 11, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.

EC Elite19 is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $45 and lunch is included.

The camp is for women basketball players in the class of 2019 who want to take their game to the next level and who want to know what college coaches are looking for.

The annual EC Day at the Neshoba County Fair celebrating East Central Community College in Decatur is scheduled for Monday, July 30, at the Neshoba County Fairgrounds in Philadelphia.

ECCC alumni, students, and prospective students and their families, and all fair goers are invited to attend EC Day at the Fair.

The ECCC Collegians rock-n-roll band, the Warrior cheerleaders, and the Centralettes dance line are some of the entertainment scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m. at the Founders Square Pavilion.

Several rising sophomores on the East Central Community College Warrior baseball team are sharpening their skills this summer by participating in collegiate baseball leagues around the country.

Eight Warriors are playing summer league ball in five states, from North Dakota to Kentucky.
