East Central Community College outfielder Clayton Cook (Mize) has inked with Southeastern Louisiana University to continue his playing career after the 2021-22 season.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors basketball game against the Northwest Florida State Raiders, originally set for this Saturday, Nov. 20, has been cancelled. The Lady Warriors will not be back on the floor until Monday, November 29th as Coastal Alabama-North travels to Decatur for a 5 p.m. tipoff. That game can be seen live at www.eccclive.com/gold or heard live at 98.3 FM Crusin 98.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors fell to 3-3 on the year on Tuesday night, Nov. 16, as the team lost to No. 11 Shelton State, 78-42. Due to injuries, the Lady Warrior lineup was sparse, but those that saw the floor played hard as they duked it out with the Lady Bucs.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors went 1-1 on the weekend as the team participated in the Northwest Florida Classic in Niceville, Fla., Nov. 12-13. The event was hosted by the defending NJCAA D1 National Champions and current No. 1 team, Northwest Florida State College.

The East Central Community College Warriors left it all on the floor against Gulf Coast Thursday night, Nov. 11, as they erased an 11-point deficit in the final seven minutes of play, but came up just short, 83-78, for their first loss of the season. The loss drops the Warriors to 2-1 overall and improves the Bulldogs to 4-0.

East Central Community College will showcase its various student performing groups in upcoming concerts and spectaculars on the campus in Decatur. All events are free admission and open to the public.

The college’s rock-n-roll band The Collegians will perform its fall concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, in Huff Auditorium. The  band will be performing popular hits by Rush, Kansas, White Stripes, Dua Lipa, and many more.
