East Central Community College outfielder Clayton Cook (Mize) has inked with Southeastern Louisiana University to continue his playing career after the 2021-22 season. 

Cook was instrumental in the Warriors postseason run that ended as NJCAA Region 23 runners-up. He finished the year on a nine-game hittng streak with eight of those being multi-hit games. The 2021-22 sophomore led the Warriors with 75 hits on the year and in home runs, with six. He drove in 41 runs and finished the year with a .424 batting average and team-high .616 slugging percentage.

The leadoff batter is back in the lineup this season which will begin in the spring of 2022.
