Following a two-year collaborative process involving the entire campus community, East Central Community College in Decatur has chosen a financial literacy initiative known as Dollars and Sense as its Quality Enhancement Plan topic as it prepares for 10-Year Reaffirmation of Accreditation.

The East Central Community College Centralettes danceline, which performs with the Wall O’ Sound Marching Band, will host a Dance Camp for girls in 1st through 6th grades on Sunday, Aug. 29.

The camp will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus. Cost is $50 per student and includes a T-shirt and snack.

East Central Community College will offer a Warrior Wednesday Orientation and Registration session on Wednesday, Aug. 11, on the Decatur campus. It is the final orientation session before fall 2021 day and evening classes begin on Monday, Aug. 16.

Warrior Wednesday will be from 9 a.m. to Noon beginning in the Vickers Fine Arts Center. New students can begin signing in for the session at 8:30 a.m.

East Central Community College in Decatur is making several changes to limit the amount of off-campus vehicle traffic moving through campus overnight to further enhance overall safety and security.

The NJCAA has announced the 2020-21 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes across the country for their dedication in the classroom.  A total of 8,272 student-athletes have been honored for achieving a GPA above 3.60.

Registration is now open for Certified Nurse Assistant classes offered by East Central Community College in Decatur.

Classes at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Career & Technical Center, located at 900 Valley View Drive in Philadelphia, begin Monday, Aug. 23. Classes will meet from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday for six consecutive weeks.
