The honors keep coming for East Central Community College's Thomas Boothe. The sophomore right-hander has added National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Pitcher of the Week to his accolades after a stellar performance on the mound for the Warriors last week.

East Central Community College will host its fifth annual East Central Mississippi High School All-Star Basketball Games Saturday, April 13, in the Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.

The Underclass Women’s All-Star Game begins at 2:30 p.m., the Senior Women’s All-Star Game at 4 p.m., the Underclass Men’s All-Star Game at 5:00 p.m., and the Senior Men’s All-Star Game at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $8 for the day.

Freshman Braelyn Boykin pitched a four-hitter in the nightcap to help the East Central Community College Lady Warriors defeat the Southwest Lady Bears 2-1 and salvage a split in MACJC softball action Tuesday, April 9, in Summit.

East Central tried to rally from an eight-run deficit in the opener, but fell short 9-7.

East Central Community College is offering several courses during its May Semester, including General Biology I with Lab, English Composition I & II, Anatomy and Physiology I & II with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, College Algebra, General Physics I-A with Lab, and Public Speaking.

The two-week term begins on Monday, May 13, and ends on Friday, May 24. The last day to register is Tuesday, May 14. All courses are on the campus in Decatur.

The East Central Community College tennis teams picked up their second sweep of the season over the Marion Military Institute (Ala.) men and women in matches played Friday, April 5, at the ECCC Tennis Complex in Decatur.
