The honors keep coming for East Central Community College's Thomas Boothe. The sophomore right-hander has added National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Pitcher of the Week to his accolades after a stellar performance on the mound for the Warriors last week.

The product of Bayside Academy in Fairhope, Ala., pitched a nine-inning no-hitter to power East Central to a 4-0 win over the Northeast Tigers April 6. The 6-8 Boothe struck out 14 Northeast batters and set the Tigers down in order in five of the nine innings. He threw just 127 pitches in the game to pick up his fourth win of the season against just one loss.

Earlier in the week, he earned a save as he came to the mound in the top of the ninth with two on and no outs to help preserve East Central's 5-4 win over No. 7 ranked Jones College on April 2. He retired three of the four batters he faced in that one-inning appearance.

Boothe was also named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Pitcher of the Week.
