No. 6 ECCC Softball Splits Doubleheader at Holmes

The No. 6 ranked East Central Community College Lady Warriors came back to win game two after losing in walk-off fashion in the opener of an MACJC softball doubleheader at Holmes Community College Friday, March 30, at Lady Bulldog Softball Field in Goodman.

The Lady Warriors are now 23-7 overall on the season and 10-6 in MACJC play, while the Holmes Lady Bulldogs are 13-13 overall and 6-10 in league play.

ECCC SBDC to Offer ‘First Steps-The Process of Starting a Small Business’ April 9

The East Central Community College Small Business Development Center will offer a free seminar titled “First Steps-The Process of Starting a Small Business” at the ECCC Workforce Development Center Monday, April 9, 2018.

The class will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Ronnie Westbrook, director of the Small Business Development Center, will serve as facilitator.

ECCC Announces Spring 2018 Testing, Interview Dates for MI-BEST Program

East Central Community College in Decatur has announced dates when prospective students can test and interview for acceptance into the MI-BEST program for fall 2018.

MI-BEST allows qualified applicants to take courses they need to prepare for the high school equivalency exam while at the same time training for jobs in fields such as collision repair technology, business and office technology, certified nurse assistant, culinary arts technology, hotel and restaurant management, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).

ECCC to Host Annual MACJC Basketball All-Star Games

March 29, 2018

East Central Community College will again serve as host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball contests.

The doubleheader will be held Friday, April 13, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur. The North Division women and South Division women will face off at 5 p.m. and the North and South men’s game will follow at 7 p.m.

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.
