Eligible participants ages 18-59 can receive free short-term workforce training at East Central Community College in Decatur through the Career STEP Program.
Funded through a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families workforce program from the Mississippi Department of Human Services, Career STEP (Skills Training Education Pathways) covers books and training materials, tuition, and any fees associated with certifications and licenses needed for the participant to be able to go to work.

Alex Adkins of Union and Courtney Gill of Carthage were selected Mr. and Miss East Central Community College for the 2020-21 school year by vote of the student body.

The East Central Community College men's tennis team will be traveling to Plano, Texas, for the NJCAA DI Men's National Tennis Tournament after earning an at-large bid to the event. Matches will take place from May 17 through May 21 at Collin College.
