Scoreless for 99 minutes and 59 seconds, East Central Community College’s Ashley Langham knocked in the golden goal with one second left in the first overtime period to give the Lady Warriors a 1-0 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College Wednesday, Oct. 11.
In the men’s action, East Central got goals from three different players in a 3-2 win over Northwest.
The MACJC North Division matches were played on the Northwest campus in Senatobia.

The East Central Community College soccer teams traveled to Fulton Friday, Oct. 6, for a pair of important MACJC North Division soccer matches against Itawamba Community College, with the men’s team picking up an important win.
The Warriors scored the game winner in the 83rd minute to defeat the Indians 2-1. Sophomore defender Cory Furlow out of Clinton got the winning goal, assisted by freshman midfielder Chris Perez of Forest.

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer an NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Core Curriculum Class from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Brackford J. Tucker Applied Technology Building beginning Oct. 5, 2017, for 28 consecutive Thursdays. Cost is $200 per student and includes a book and OSHA card.
