East Central Community College recognized 13 students during the Cosmetology Program Completion Ceremony held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Huff Auditorium on the Decatur campus.
The event featured a welcome and remarks from ECCC President Dr. Brent Gregory. Khloe Elyse Cockerham followed with the student address.
David Case, Executive Vice President, presented the candidates for degrees and certificates. Dr. Gregory awarded the certificates, and the ceremony concluded with a benediction by Jinger Alyssa Meadows.

The cosmetology course is designed for individuals pursuing licensure as professional cosmetologists. The 12-month program, approved by the Mississippi State Board of Education and the Mississippi Board of Cosmetology, requires students to complete 1,500 clock hours of training and maintain a 70 average in both theory and skill coursework to qualify for the State Board Examination.
