Three East Central Community College Lady Warriors and three Warriors have been selected to participate in the 2018 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Soccer Sophomore All-Star Matches to be played Saturday, Nov. 10, at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.
The women’s match is set for 2 p.m. with the men's match to follow at 4:30 p.m.
The North Division Women All-Stars include East Central’s Carrington Payne, Noel Ross, and Georgie Wilson. Payne is a midfielder from Richland, Ross is a midfielder from Horn Lake, and Wilson is a defender from Adelaide, Australia.
The North Division Men All-Stars include East Central's Gustavo Barreto, Vitor Gomes, and Francisco Romero. Barreto is a midfielder from Salvador, Brazil, Gomes is a midfielder from Fortaleza, Brazil, and Romero is a midfielder out of Ripley.
Awards for Most Valuable Players from each division will be given out following each match.
