East Central Community College has made the decision to POSTPONE indefinitely the Spring Commencement ceremony originally scheduled for May 1 at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Coliseum.
Please know that given the ongoing developments surrounding COVID-19, it is unlikely a Commencement ceremony could be held prior to the latter part of the summer at this time. In regards to the potential for rescheduling Commencement exercises, College officials will continue to monitor national and state public health and safety recommendations and protocols.
In response to this postponement, the application deadline for all students who are planning to receive a diploma and/or certificate this spring has been EXTENDED to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2020. No applications will be accepted after that date. The Application for Graduation should be completed online using myEC. Please note, an Application for Graduation must be submitted online using myEC even if you did not plan to participate in Spring Commencement exercises and even though Spring Commencement has now been postponed.
