East Central Community College Inducts over 50 Students into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

East Central Community College inducted 52 students into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on Tuesday, February 25, in Huff Auditorium.

The ceremony began with an invocation by Vice President of Student Services, Mr. James Miller, followed by a warm welcome and opening remarks from ECCC President Dr. Brent Gregory. Mr. Miller also recognized the chapter officers before the formal induction of new members, which was led by the chapter officers. The event continued with a welcoming of new members by PTK Advisors Mrs. Renee Boggan and Dr. Amanda Walton and concluded with closing remarks from Executive Vice President David Case.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year colleges, recognizing students for their academic excellence and leadership potential. Membership is extended to students who have completed at least 12 credit hours applicable to an associate degree and have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.
